Ozoneair is a unique ozone generator that converts oxygen in the air into ozone, also known as active oxygen, which very effectively eliminates odors.
– Bad odors disappear immediately, as do mold spores, bacteria, allergens, and other harmful microorganisms, says Johan Lundberg, founder of Ozoneair, a technology company in Luleå.
As easy as a microwave
The machine is fully automatic and easy to use, weighing only a few kilograms. If you can use a microwave oven, you can sanitize with Ozoneair:
– You start the machine with the press of a button, and while Ozoneair works, you can do other things.
Here's everything you need to know before ozone sanitization
Before ozone treatment
Before you start your ozone treatment with Ozoneair, you should make some preparations:
- Seal off exhaust vents in the area to be treated so that ozone does not seep out.
- Remove animals and plants from the area.
- Open cabinets, wardrobes, drawers, and doors so that the ozone can properly reach all surfaces and spaces.
- Feel free to hang clothes on a clothes rack in the middle of the room so that they can be optimally freshened by the ozone.
- Seal or tape door and window gaps. Delimit with construction plastic if there is no door.
Start Ozoneair
Connect the machine to an electrical outlet. Set the size of the room in square meters using a knob on the machine. The appropriate treatment time will be shown on a screen. Start the machine and leave the room.
During ozone treatment
The most important thing is to let the ozone work in as enclosed a space as possible. Do not open any doors or windows and do not enter the space during treatment. Neither people nor animals should enter the space, as it can be harmful to health to breathe in ozone, which is a strong oxidizing gas. Also, be aware of the characteristic fresh and slightly sharp smell of ozone if you are in an adjacent room, as this may be a sign of leakage: that ozone is seeping out. Overexposure to ozone can cause irritation and stinging in the throat and nose.
After treatment
Wait at least two hours after the treatment has finished before re-entering the space. By then, the ozone molecules (O3) will have broken down into ordinary oxygen (O2). In some cases, a faint smell of ozone may remain, similar to chlorine, but this smell is completely harmless and will dissipate until it's gone. Feel free to ventilate the space.
How many times can I sanitize with the machine?
You can use your Ozoneair for approximately 1000 treatments, equivalent to 4000 operating hours. The two largest models, Ozoneair PLUS and Ozoneair PRO, are also refillable; you can purchase new oxygen plates.
Here are examples of odors that Ozoneair effectively removes:
- Mold smell
- Musty smell
- Pet odor
- Smoke smell
- Tobacco smell
- Chemical smell
- Impregnation smell
- Urine smell
