The tech company Ozoneair in Luleå has developed a machine that sanitizes your home in a completely new way.
– Ozoneair converts the oxygen in the air into ozone gas, which attacks and neutralizes air molecules. Bad odors disappear, as do mold spores, bacteria, and other harmful substances, says Johan Lundberg, founder of Ozoneair.
Odors permeate furnishings
Stale odors are common in our homes, and can be caused by inadequate ventilation, drains, dampness and mold.
– If you smoke cigarettes or have pets, the odors settle in the furnishings. In houses with so-called crawl spaces or torpargrund (a type of foundation), moisture from the ground can rise into the house and cause a troublesome odor, says Johan Lundberg.
Easy to use
Inger Björklund, 61, and her husband have five pedigree cats and two dogs, all living together in just over 80 square meters of their home in Luleå.
– It doesn't matter how much you clean, scrub, and air out. The odors from the animals spread – all pet owners probably recognize this, says Inger.

– It was very easy to use. I plugged it into an electrical outlet, placed it in the middle of the room, and pressed start. Then it worked for a few hours.
