Unpleasant odors often appear in all cars over time and can be due to many things. A dog or cat might have been in the car, or someone might have smoked in it.
Other common reasons include moisture seeping in and causing a stale smell, food remnants stuck under the seats and starting to rot, or spilled milk.
Hardest to remove
But perhaps the most difficult odor to remove is the smell of vomit that has settled into textiles and other interior surfaces. Airing out and scrubbing usually only helps temporarily, and home remedies like baking soda and vinegar rarely work.

How to sanitize your car – car salesman Kalle Frindberg's tips:
- Remove the plastic mats and collect all loose items. You can wash the mats separately. Brush out old gravel and dust that shoes have brought into the car. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush and narrow attachment to reach everywhere.
- Wipe down the interior and wash the mats.
- Place the Ozoneair on the car floor. In just a few hours, bad odors disappear and are replaced by a fresh scent that lasts permanently.
